She is Director of Sheffield Listening Services and has been providing a formalised Listening Service at Greystones Medical Centre since 2008.

Linda has a Graduate Diploma in Kingdom Theology (University of Chester & Westminster Theological College); is an Associate of CIPD, completing a Post Graduate HR Management Programme in 1996, and has a DTLLS (level 5) adult teaching diploma.  She is a recognised tutor with the Institute of Leadership & Management; a recommended trainer with a range of organisations and an approved Trainer and Professional Volunteer Listener with Acorn Christian Healing Foundation.

In addition to co-leading The Eccles church for the last 21 years, Linda, (also an ordained leader within the Pioneer Network) has considerable experience of working with businesses of all types.

On graduating, Linda worked with the YMCA as a Community Development worker and Supervisor, working with inner-city churches across Sheffield in the development of community-based projects.  She then began her HR career, working as HR Manager across a range of organisations and sectors, including car assembly (Labauto Ltd), medical gas engineering (Medaes Ltd), regeneration agency (SDC), and finally charity sector as Senior Manager of The King’s Trust.  She began her own business in 2004 as Leadership & Management Trainer, Mentor & HR Advisor, again working successfully across the sectors.

Linda Gascoyne

Baz Gascoyne

Baz has considerable experience of working with educational establishments, sports clubs, junior and secondary schools

Baz was a telephone exchange technician with British Telecom before going to Cliff Bible College in Carver in 1981.  In 1985, he joined Sheffield YMCA as their Outreach Worker working with schools, youth groups and churches, before joining the staff team at the King’s Centre church in 1992.  For the last 21 years he has been senior leader of The Eccles, and is an ordained leader within the Pioneer Network (a UK-based denomination of churches and ministries, and members of Churches Together).   

During this time he has maintained his work with junior and senior schools leading assemblies and taking lessons.  He is the co-author of 4 books for men and speaks regularly at men’s conferences.  

The new service will be overseen by an advisory board of trustees including Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust chairman Tony Pedder and Peter Birtles.

The vision for this initiative is to grow it across the region and provide listening services and chaplaincy support for any organisation.

Other Trustees are currently being appointed.

He is also Director of Sheffield Sports Chaplaincy and a guest lecturer for Cliff College’s MA Programme in Sports Chaplaincy.  He is the club chaplain for Sheffield Wednesday and Sheffield Eagles.

Baz has an MA in Missiological Studies (University of Sheffield & Cliff College); and a Postgraduate Diploma in Sports Chaplaincy and Pastoral Care (Gloucester University).  In recent years he enjoyed taking part in the Common Purpose leadership development programme in Sheffield.  Baz is an approved Trainer and Professional Volunteer Listener with Acorn Christian Healing Foundation.

A new chaplaincy and listening service for people in workplaces across the South Yorkshire region, offering visits to workplaces, bespoke listening services and tailor made support for employees.
